Waterfront Prison Farm

I'm super happy to present some new concept art work I've been doing on my free time as a training! This project was heavily inspired by the surroundings of the neighboorhood I live in Sweden and has been on my mind for a long time. It started with the idea of a "rice field" like farm along the shore, in a dystopian world where the water has become toxic. It then developed into a prison where prisoners are sent to do the dirty work, essentially risking their lives to harvest ressources for the mainland.
I followed the amazing Learnsquared tutorials from Steve Wang for the environment concepts and sketching, and from Adam J.Middleton for the character design. I cannot recommend them enough! I wanted to push this project further but started something else during the summer (classic), and I feel I learned so much since then that I feel more comfortable posting it now and moving on.

I would like to thank everyone who gave me feedbacks on this project, from my girlfriend to my amazing coworkers at Massive!
